A Newmarket-on-Fergus clubman made his inter-county debut for Sligo last weekend.
Sean ‘Horse’ O’Connor lined out at centre-back for the Sligo senior hurling team as they began their Allianz National Hurling League Division 3B campaign with a one point defeat to Warwickshire.
Their next outing is on March 5th in Markieivicz Park where the Yeats County host Fermanagh.
He was not the only Clare man involved with the Sligo side as there is a strong Cratloe contingent part of their setup.
