Guilfoyle Remains In Charge Of Inters

With their most positive championship campaign in four years put down, the intermediate hurlers will be keen to build on that for 2018.

Bearing that in mind continuity is very important and CLG Cora Chaitlín is pleased to announce John Guilfoyle will continue as manager of the team.

Although they topped their League table, the Inters slipped up at the semi-final stage to Clonlara and will be targeting a stronger finish next time round.

Their start to the championship was rocky with a heavy defeat to Smith O’Briens. Their response was outstanding, putting in some of the best club displays of the year defeating Inagh/Kilnamona and Clarecastle. They came up short against Parteen in the Clare IHC quarter-finals to put an end to their year.

Next year Guilfoyle will be looking to have more players at his disposal as more young players begin to play adult hurling.

We’re confident we have the right man for the job with the intermediates and we wish John continued success in 2018. He was ratified to the position at Sunday’s AGM.
