Aaron Moroney a young hurler with our club is one of the many individuals around the country taking part in ‘Dare to Care’ a Today FM campaign benefitting the Irish Cancer Society.
This Sunday our U11 Hurlers take on Scariff/Ogonnelloe in Fr Murphy Memorial Park on Sunday evening at 5:30pm. For this game Aaron has been dared by his mother Lorraine to wear a tutu while playing the match.
Ahead of the big dare Aaron said “My granny is currently on her cancer journey. She has received great care and support from all the nurses and doctors. I wanted to do something to show my gratitude to them. I have accepted my mums dare to wear a Tutu during one of my matches. Anyone who knows me, knows I love hurling. It’s not something I’m looking forward to, but I will do it for my Granny and all those who are fighting cancer”.
To date Aaron has raised €1,389. If you would like to donate to the cause please click here.
Fair play Aaron, a credit to all in the club.
Well done buddy.. We’re all so proud of you
