CLG Cora Chaitlín wishes to confirm the appointment of Cathal Kilmartin as the club’s senior camogie manager.
It will be Cathal’s first managerial stint with the club and we are hopeful it will be a successful and worthwhile one as he takes charge of a talented group of players who were crowned League champions in 2016 and lost out to Inagh/Kilnamona in the championship decider.
Cathal will be joined on his management team by former championship winning captain, Carol Toomey, current intermediate and junior hurler John McInerney along with Brian O’Gorman who will be getting involved with the club for the first time.
Their appointment was ratified following a meeting of the Camogie Executive on Tuesday evening.
Cathal succeeds Darren Hayes who stepped down from the position in February, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Darren for some great days out supporting the girls and he can take pride in the fact that silverware returned to the club every year while he was in charge of the senior team, which is no easy achievement.
Best wishes to all involved with the senior panel for 2017.
