Wolfe Tones had a comfortable 3-14 0-08 over our Junior B Hurlers on Friday evening.
Preparations were put off kilter with throw-in delayed considerably due to the late discovery that assigned referee Joe O’Donnell was on holidays. Unfortunately this cannot be used as the excuse for the defeat as the hosts were deserving of their victory.

The Shannon side are now in a strong position of achieving back to back league promotions. Despite beating Wolfe Tones in last year’s League decider, our chances of completing the same feat are dead and buried but maintaining Division 4 status has been the main aim from the start of the year, to guarantee this victories against O’Callaghans Mills and Meelick are required in our final two outings.
