A place in the quarter-finals of the Minor B Hurling Championship awaits the victors of Newmarket-on-Fergus and Corofin/Ruan when they meet in Fr Murphy Memorial Park at 6:15pm on Friday evening.
Thus far, our boys have shown mixed form in the championship losing to Crusheen/Tubber, Cratloe and Clonlara while defeating Ballyea. In their losses to Crusheen/Tubber and Cratloe, they showed what they’re capable of and they will need to be tuned in from the get go on Friday.
James McMahon, PJ Enright and James ‘Jellies’ Power are three of our minors that have gained experience from lining out with our intermediate and junior hurlers in 2017 with a large bulk of the panel having picked up some lessons at the U16 grade.
As this is a home fixture and also a must win game, we are counting on our supporters to come out in force to do their bit and try get our minors over the line and into the quarter-finals. Best of luck to all involved.
