This Sunday we will hold our first ever Grandparents Day at Fr Murphy Memorial Park.
It promises to be a day for the family and we’re hoping to see plenty of grandparents out and about at the field. As is the norm on Sunday’s, underage training kicks off the action at 11am. New boys and girls are very welcome to join us, we’re asking grandparents to come down and lend a hand with training and encouraging our young Blues.
As part of the day’s festivities, there will be a special ‘Beat The Grandparent’ competition which will see 1981 County championship winning goalkeeper, Christy Ryan roll back the years and stand between the posts. Christy is the early favourite to claim the Grandparents Long Puc, it’s up to the other grandparents to stop him! There will be a BBQ for all on the day.
This is a day for the family to come out and enjoy themselves in our home, we consider ourselves to be one big family in the club and we’re looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday.
