We’re hosting our Monster Bingo tomorrow night at 8:30pm in the Community Hall.
Our aim with this fundraiser is to raise €5000 for our Primary School Coaching Programme. To make this target we’re hoping all our Blues will come out in force and support us tomorrow night. Parents from the four schools in the parish are more than welcome to come and join us for an event that will benefit the lives of children attending Ballycar NS, Clonmoney NS, Scoil na Maighdine Mhúire and Stonehall NS.
Since our primary schools coaching programme commenced in February 2015, pupils at the four schools have really weekly sessions with club coaches Liam Clancy and Kevin Halpin where they have learnt the basic skills of the hurling and camogie aswell as fundamental movement skills and lots more.
In the past twenty months we have seen an increase in school children attending club sessions and our club coaches have been very impressed with the noticeable improvement across a wide range of areas as a result of the work done in the primary schools.
Tickets cost €10 with a starting prize fund of €2080. Spot prizes on the night include a television, handmade pendant from Gleeson Goldsmiths and many more prizes to the value of €800.
Tomorrow promises to be a night for all the family and also a night for the club, our club.
