Ideal conditions for a game of hurling, Colin Ryan opened the scoring with a goal from play in the 3rd minute followed by a pointed free on 5 minutes, this set the tone from the start. Kilmaley took their 1st point of the 1st half from play from from O’Malley which followed by a point from Sean O’Connor and followed up by Mike McInerney on the 12th Minute. Colin again from a placed ball on the 14th minute brought the score to 1-04 to 0-01 with 15 minutes played. Brakcen took a point from play for Kilmaley which was followed up with a free which was put wide by Moloney, Barrett get a yellow card for his troubles. on the 22nd minute Colin Gulifoyle opened his account followed a minute later with a fine finish from Stephen Kelly at full forward. Kilmaley’s 3rd and final score of the 1st half came from a free from the stick of Daire Keane. Colin Ryan closes Newmarkets scoring in the 1st half with a point from another placed ball, Half time 2-06 to 0-03.
The teams exchaned points when the second half resumed with Colin from Play and Bracken again from play. Mike Mc Inerney takes his 2nd score 3 minutes in to the 2nd half followed by a goal from Eoin Hayes with a fantastic finish to the roof of O’Loughlins net. Goode gets a yellow and Keane points the free followed in the 9th minute by a point from Michael O’Neill from play. Stephen Kelly is replaced by James Liddy and Marty is on for Hayes and scores a point not long after. O’Loughlin made a fine save to deny Colin Guilfoyle a green flag but Colin scored the 65 that resulted. Paudie McMahon replaces Enda Barrett at cnetre back. In the next play Gulifoyle makes no mistake and finishes for the Blues 3rd goal. Sean O’Connor makes way for Colm McCaul. Kilmaley take the next 3 points, Conor Cleary, O’Malley and Keane all from play. Colin gets another fine points in the 28 and 29th minute to bring his tally to 1-10 (0-05f) the final 2 scores go to Kilmaley a point from play from O’Malley and a goal to finish the scoring by Bracken who broke throught the solid defence. Final Score 4-15 (27) to 1-12 (15)

Overall a very good display for the Blues at home, some very positive play and great finishing for goals. Wides on both sides can be worked on but good result with 2 wins from 2. Next up Cratloe away.
