Inters Go Joint Top Of Division 3 Table

Our Intermediate hurlers made it two wins from two when they overcame the challenge of Sixmilebridge’s third string who will also be operating in the Clare IHC.

Newmarket-on-Fergus 5-15
Sixmilebridge 2-10
Venue: Fr Murphy Memorial Park

After a narrow victory over Clonlara in the opening round of the Division 3 Clare Cup, Newmarket-on-Fergus had more to spare when it came to beating Sixmilebridge.

It now puts them joint top of the League table alongside Éire Óg and Kilmaley who are unbeaten having played two games each.

Further improvement will be needed from the Blues if they are to challenge Smith O’Briens in the championship in a fortnight.
