Congratulations to U12 hurler, Sean Arthur winner of the 2017 Community Games Long Puc.
Adding to our growing success in Poc Fada’s, Sean struck furthest out of the twenty eight competitors in the U12 competition at Lees Rd on Sunday. Fellow Blue John Hogan also did the club proud in the competition, missing out on a podium place.
Sean now goes forward to the national finals which take place in Athlone this August giving him plenty of time to practice under the watchful eye of our Assistant Secretary and U12 boss, Kenneth Arthur who is hoping a sponsorship deal with MD Sports may be on the cards following his victory.
Clare senior hurler, Jason McCarthy was on hand to present medals to the winners.
