Intermediates Remain Top of League Table

Broadford going into an early 0-03 point to no score lead didn’t phase the intermediates Sunday at noon, they settled with  20 minutes gone, drew even 0-04 a piece. Then came the decisive moment in the game a penalty. We all want to know what Jack O’Connor had for breakfast as his reflex to make the save were superb!

Broadford converted the resultant 65 but on 28 minute Hayso finishes off a saved attempt from Liam Clancy as Broadford fail to clear the save. Half time score was 1-07 to 0-07, with the supporters in attendance really enjoying the game Broadford kept chipping away at the scoreboard but then  Liam Clancy broke through the Broadford defence to rattle the net, lovely finish to the top corner.  2-14 to 0-15  with 5 minutes remaining. Newmarket battled hard to keep the lead and finished with a final scored of 2-16 to 0-15 and a well deserved win to remain top of the league.
