Our Junior B Hurlers are in championship action tomorrow afternoon (Sunday).
They travel to Ballyea where they will face off with Inagh/Kilnamona at 1:30pm. Having overcome the challenge of Scariff in the first round, Newmarket-on-Fergus need a win to book their place in the quarter-finals. With a mixed league campaign behind them, the Blues are fully focused on championship and will try to showcase that on Sunday.
It is anticipated that Alan O’Flanagan will captain the side as regular skipper John McInerney nurses himself back to fitness. Unconfirmed reports are circulating that Owen McCarthy will be handed a starting jersey. Supporters are curious to see if Rory Murphy will be included in the first fifteen having scored a goal upon his introduction in the first round.
John Hannon and his management will wait until close to throw-in time or the throw-in itself before naming their team.
Best of luck to all involved with the Juniors, follow us on Twitter @NOFGAA for live updates.
