u16 defeated by strong Bridge side

Sixmilebridge were the visitors last evening to take on the u16’s. the first 5 minutes it was fairly balanced game with neither side taking any scoring chances.

The bridge found their rhythm and went 5 points to no score ahead after 10 minutes, Jack  Enright then opened our account from a free.  Half time score was in favour of Sixmilebride 1-11 to 0.05.

The 2nd half remained the same, the bridge dominated in most areas with their number 12 playing a blinder, scoring frees and points at ease.  Final score 1-10 to 2-23. The Sixmilebridge  support play was very much a stand out throughout the field with a man available for every ball and in the correct position. We have alot to work on to get to this standard, working well last night were Jack Enright, Eanna Crimmins and Stephen Casey. Injurys also mounted up for this panel, with David Hall carried off and Eanna and Paudie Guilfoyle also replaced with leg injuries. Speedy recovery lads.   The Bridge went to do a 15 minute warm down after the game, our lads strolled to the dressing room with the heads down.

Last game up for this group will be Clonlara where we would hope the lads will improve the support play for each other, play as a team and not individuals.
