Well done to our own James McInerney who finished fifth in the Men’s Poc Fada in the Cooley Mountains on Saturday.
James became the first Newmarket-on-Fergus man to win the national title last year and he can be very proud of his efforts this time round.
Galway’s Tadhg Haran was the winner of this year’s competition. Eoin Murphy of Kilkenny edged out James for fourth spot. Kilmaley’s Bryan O’Loughlin finished in eleventh while Clonlara’s Aine O’Loughlin will be delighted with her second place in the female equivalent.
