Corofin defeat U16’s to qualify for shield final

A strong Corofin side edged past the U16s this evening, with home advantage, Corofin opted to play with the aid of a strong wind in the 1st half and they went in at half time ahead, 2-09 to 1-04. Our goal from a long range free from Jack Enright. In the 2nd half the team worked hard and with the aid of the wind came back to within 2 points, with another Jack Enright goal , Corofin then got a goal and that was game over, 2-14 to 3-16 Full Time. Eanna Crimmins, Jack, Peter Power Stephen Casey and Ciaran McMahon doing well.

The lads never gave up this battle and will certainly improve with training on touch and support team play for the winter will be back and rearing to go in 2018 with hopefully some of their long term injured coming back to the panel to join them.
