On Thursday our Games Development Officer, Liam Clancy visited all four schools in the parish of Newmarket-on-Fergus where he presented some lucky boys and girls with brand new helmets complete with club crest and colours.
It is hoped that providing such equipment to the schools of Newmarket, Ballycar, Stonehall and Clonmoney will see the games of Hurling and Camogie continue to flourish as has been the case over recent years.
New equipment was presented to each school which will no doubt be put to great use by the boys and girls of the parish over the coming months.
Long may it last.
