In her final report as Secretary of Newmaket-on-Fergus Camogie Club, Elaine Lally outlined her view that the club is still “a force to be reckoned with”.
She felt the year “kicked off to a good start” with a successful AGM despite highlighting disappointment with poor attendance.
A detailed report was then presented on each team in the club. Lally said the club “competed on all levels very well” in 2017. She singled out her delight at seeing the work of current PRO, Lorraine Moroney and acknowledged the massive contribution of outgoing Chaiperson Marie-Louise Kaiser who Elaine said was a pleasure to work with, labelling her an education especially in the field of diplomacy.
“Diplomacy is not my strength” replied Kaiser before thanking Elaine for her efforts over the past three years on the Camogie Executive. “In 2017 Elaine managed a hotel and a camogie club”, she added.
Elaine singled out work commitments as the main reason for her departure. All at CLG Cora Chaitlín wish Elaine and Sean Lally continued success with Hotel Woodstock.
