At Sunday’s AGM of CLG Cora Chaitlín, John Hannon was reappointed to the position of Junior B Hurling manager.
This will mark John’s fourth year in the helm. During this period, the Juniors have become far more competitive as they now target championship glory each year.
Hannon’s opening campaign saw Feakle defeating the Blues in the League Final and championship quarter-final. A year later it was Wolfe Tones who the Blues overcame in the League decider but lost out to in the championship final. In the season just gone, an agonizing one point defeat was sustained at the hands of Tubber in the county final while they also suffered relegation from Division 4.
John has a remarkable relationship with his panel of players, a high volume of Blues have lined out at this grade during his term and it is proving to be a great education for some of our younger lads making the step-up getting to tog out alongside some of the most experienced players currently in action for the club.
CLG Cora Chaitlín would like to wish John and all involved with the Junior Bs the very best of luck in 2018 where they will target success in league and championship once again.
