This evening our U14 Hurlers play Bodyke/O’Callaghans Mills in what will be the first of five Group Stage games. Over the coming weeks they will also play Clonlara, The Banner, Scarriff/Ogonnelloe and Broadford. This U14 team of ours is quite a young one with three quarters of the panel eligible for this grade again next year. Nevertheless, whatever year they were born in, this group has loads of good hurlers with all the grit and skill that it takes. Though they may face bigger, older teams, I have no doubt they will contest every ball and give every ounce of effort they possess. Best of luck, lads.
