Family Fun Day
The day starts from 2:30pm for registration in the clubhouse. Cost for everything included is €25 for family, €10 for individual, €5 for u14s. Anyone not registering for walk/run can make a donation at gate at anytime to avail of the BBQ and field events. This cost covers for full evening’s event including BBQ and Ice Cream! Please arrive early as to avoid delays to start of events. There will be parking in O’ Rourke’s field. There is NO PARKING all along Ballycar Road on either side. The estimated timing of main events are as follows:
- The 10k run and 5k walk will start at 4 sharp
- The Wheelbarrow Grand Prix will start when 10krace finishes and should be complete before 6pm.
- The BBQ will then be served, thanks to Reale’s Butchers, Eurospar and Dromoland for supporting the event.
- Obstacle course races for All children under 14 starting at 6
- Adult Tug of War competition at 6pm
- Over 50s Target/Crossbar Challenge at 6pm
- U16 + Minors Target/Crossbar Challenge at 6pm
- Mother + Daughter/Son Competition at 6:45
- U12 + U14 Target/Crossbar Challenge at 6:45
There will be a host of lots of other activities taking place while all these going on:
- Face Painting
- Fire Engine
- Colouring competition Judging
- Pony Rides
- Sumo Wrestling
- Buckin Bronco
- Backballer Demonstration
There will also be tea and snacks available throughout the day and we will finish with a visit from the Ice Cream van!
