For fear you’d forget, 1997 was a brilliant year for Clare hurling with the seniors winning their third All-Ireland championship and the minors winning what is still our only All-Ireland title at that level.
On Friday evening, members of the 97 minor panel and management held a reunion at Durty Nelly’s.
Donal Madden was the chief organiser of the event with our very own Brian ‘Beano’ McMahon one of those present.
We had no club website in 1997 to express our pride for this achievement and Beano’s involvement so we would like to take this moment to say well done to all!
