On Sunday morning our U15 hurlers compete in the semi-final of the U15 B Hurling Championship in Dr Daly Park, Tulla at 11am.
Our opponents are Tulla (don’t ask us how/why it’s home and away for a semi-final) and as it stands these are the last club hurling team in action in 2017, meaning they are the only hurling team in the club that could collect a championship title.
That’s a bit off yet but to get there they will need to be aided by a strong Newmarket-on-Fergus support on Sunday morning.
Last weekend the boys stayed calm and composed to defeat Parteen/Meelick in Meelick, playing teams and beating them in their own backyard doesn’t faze this lot and here’s hoping for more of the same, best of luck to all involved.
