Becoming the first Newmarket-on-Fergus camogie player to receive a nomination for the Camogie All-Stars is a distinction in itself for Roisin McMahon.
However she has missed out on a coveted All-Star at Saturday’s awards ceremony in Dublin. The recognition in getting a nomination was deserved for a very committed player in our club who is definitely an inspiration for young camogie players in our club.
Similarly the same applies for Clare’s other nominations; Aoife Keane, Maire McGrath, Orlaith Duggan & Chloe Morey all of whom also had no joy in picking up an award.
There’s always next year and here’s hoping there will be more success on and off the field for the Trish O’Grady managed county side in 2018.
Always an all star in our eyes ☄☄☄
