The Pakie Ryan U14B Shield final, Newmarket V Cratloe, will take place this Saturday 26th in Meelick at 5pm. On the following Monday our 2nd U14 team have an away game V Clonlara at 7pm.
Our younger U14 team recently played V Kilmaley, a game which mentor, Maurice Gough described as follows.
Newmarket U14 saw the visit of Kilmaley this evening. Kilmaley got off to a good start, getting a goal and a point in the first few minutes. We recovered well however and went in at half time 1-3 to 1-4 down.
Kilmaley started the second half well and scored 2 goals in quick succession. Again, our lads responded well and applied pressure until the final whistle and we were unlucky to lose by 2 points on a score line of 3-6 to 3-8.
Well done to all and all the support was really appreciated.
