We are thrilled and proud to announce that Newmarket-on-Fergus U16 Camogie team have been sucessful in their entry to the SportsJOE, Her.ie and Liberty Insurance Competition. Where they had to tell SportsJoe how camogie made them ready for the real world. Thanks to a truely inspiring entry by Kaci Toomey, they have been selected as 1 of the 10 best entries. They now need to submit a video telling their story of how camogie made them ready for the real world.
The videos (5 from Her.ie and 5 from SportsJOE.ie) will then be whittled down to just two, with the help of an online poll. The two finalists will be announced on August 21 and will train with representatives from Her and SportsJOE before the final live skills challenge on September 9 in Croke park.
The winning team will nab €7,000 for their club while the runner-up will win €3,000.
The girls have worked hard and have created their video entry and now need your help to get them to the final.
The voting will open Monday morning August 13th and will remain open for 5 days only.
